EXPRESS finds Canada’s promising and unique emerging artists and makes them available for private lessons either in person or online. Our “Artists Who Teach” work with beginners and advanced students. Whether you are a hobbyist or aspiring professional- we have a coach for your skill level. We specialize in working with adult learners, but work with students of all ages (8+). Take advantage of personalized lessons, where your program is built around your goals: build confidence, take rcm exams, audition for the conservatory of music, prepare for a music competition- our students do it all.

At EXPRESS Voice Studio, we believe true musical education goes beyond technique and theory — it’s about immersing yourself in music, exploring different styles, instruments, and personal approaches to playing. Every artist brings a unique perspective, and our instructors — lifelong musicians and industry professionals — share their real-world experience in individual lessons designed for students of all ages (8+).
We offer in-person and online music lessons, making high-quality music education accessible to everyone, regardless of schedule or budget. While we began as experts in singing lessons, our roster of Artists Who Teach now offers a full suite of music lessons, including piano, guitar, violin, flute, and more. Whether you’re a parent revisiting guitar lessons, a grandparent picking up the ukulele again, or a child ready to start piano lessons, EXPRESS ensures that nothing stands in the way of your musical goals.
Our programs emphasize performance opportunities, building confidence, and developing strong skills across classical, jazz, rock, and contemporary styles. Many of our students prepare for RCM exams or pursue conservatory of music goals, while others simply enjoy learning an instrument, expressing themselves, and finding joy in music. With expert instructors who tailor lessons to individual needs, EXPRESS nurtures musicians at every level, from beginners to advanced performers, helping them grow, practice, and play with passion.

At EXPRESS, we specialize in providing music lessons for adults. In fact, 80% of our student body are adults! Because when it comes to teaching music, adults and kids have very different needs. And we know that our artists will inspire you, open your mind to your own expression, and of course be able to address technical issues to level up your performance. We work with beginners and aspiring artists.
Not just music teachers, but “Artists Who Teach,” we will pair you with the best coach for you and offer you options to pick from. Move from music theory to singing lessons, to guitar lessons- whatever you want to learn, there is an artist ready to teach you at your own pace.
While we certainly have a large body of adult students, we welcome kids as well! Students age 8+ are welcome to try a music lesson without commitment to purchasing packages. This means, you don’t have to worry about your child deciding they would rather play hockey and then losing your investment.
Our “a la carte” model allows you to book lessons when you want and as it fits into your schedule. Take advantage of our many locations and find a music teacher near you.
Nervous about one on one lessons? Think you might prefer to take music lessons in a group? Contact us to request setting. up group lessons with your friends. Select teachers take large groups for private lessons and even birthday parties. Small groups of up to 3 people can be easily accomodated.

Our lessons are ideal for students who want to refine their technique, expand their musical vocabulary, and develop their own artistic voice. Whether you’re writing original music, preparing for performances, auditions, or recordings, or aiming for post-secondary music programs, our instructors tailor each lesson to your professional and creative goals.
All EXPRESS instructors are active artists themselves, bringing real-world experience from the stage, studio, and industry into every session. Lessons go beyond technique to include musical interpretation, style development, performance readiness, and creative confidence. By combining strong fundamentals with genre-specific training and mentorship, EXPRESS provides aspiring artists with the structure, guidance, and inspiration they need to grow as confident, independent musicians.

Our team is here to help if you want a professional suggestion on which music teacher to work with. We can help you choose a teacher based on budget, location, expertise, gendre, and more. Your musical journey starts with finding the right teacher: What sets EXPRESS apart is our team will take time to listen to you and understand where you are at and what your goals are and offer 2-3 personalized suggestions on which artists we believe will benefit you.
We put on concerts, masterclasses, karaoke nights, online group classes throughout the year. Your individual teacher may also offer their own concerts throughout the year in which you can participate. Because each artist is active in their industry, they can also make suggestions as to what performing opportunities are in your local community that may interest you.
At this time, we do not have a teacher who works with students on music therapy. However, we are always looking for new talented artists within the music community to add to our roster of great teachers, so please check back or give us a call to add you to our contact list to keep you up to date!
No! Unlike most music schools, You do not have to buy packages. We want things to be super flexible for you- buy a lesson when your budget and schedule allow for it and then request to schedule it from your wallet in your account when you are ready to take the purchased lesson!
