Singing lessons
In singing lessons, we’ll cover basic technique to ensure a healthy and long-lasting voice, we’ll talk about how to use stylistic accuracy in order to standout as an artist and performer, and most importantly how to gain confidence in yourself and your voice. Singing lessons are for anyone from beginner to experienced singers and performers.
Stage Performance Lessons
In stage performance lessons, we’ll cover how to incorporate movement that feels true to you as an artist, how to talk on stage, what to wear, interaction with other band members, and how to create an overall live show arc to really capture and keep the audiences attention.
Cassidy Taylor is an indie pop artist and producer based in Montreal, Quebec. Known for writing incredibly thought-provoking lyrics and unforgettable hooks, Cassidy’s sound is described as introspective yet anthemic — the kind of music that allows you to hear yourself. Cassidy has been compared to artists like Gracie Abrams, Billie Eilish, and some of the greats like Joni Mitchell and Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders. With her enormously warm and inviting presence on stage, she has charmed audiences across Ontario and continues to amass fans in places as far as Australia and Germany through her regular music releases. Her latest release, an acoustic version of a fan-favourite track called “Not Blue”, was released in March 2026.
Growing up a shy kid in the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario, Canada, Cassidy began writing songs in her bedroom at the age of 8. After years of honing in her artistry both on and off the stage, now nothing matters more than connecting people through her self-produced tracks and unifying live shows.
Releasing her debut, self-titled EP in 2023, the project has garnered over 200K streams on Spotify. The third single off the project, “The Moon”, landed a spot in Season 2 of Surviving Summer, a fast-growing Netflix TV series based in Australia.
Some of Cassidy’s notable performances include Opening for Michelle Owen at The Drake Underground in Toronto [2025], opening for Havens at the El Mocambo in Toronto [2024], opening for Julian Taylor in Haliburton [2023], the JUNOS Opening Night Chair Reception in Toronto [2022]. Having written with acclaimed artists such as Julian Taylor, Zoe Sky Jordan, and Robyn Dell’Unto, Cassidy is making a name for herself in the industry not only as a proficient songwriter and producer but as an artist.
Recording & live performance Coaching
These sessions are great for folks getting ready for recordings or performances. We fine-tune delivery, incorporating song interpretation, and think about how we can create the most impactful experience for our listeners.
Music Theory / Piano & Guitar
These lessons are focused on understanding basic principles of the piano in order to be your own backing track! We focus on basic chord progression building, voice leading, rhythm, etc.
Music theory lessons allow you to understand the “mechanics” behind sounds. We learn about different intervals, chords, voice leading, analysis, and other tools to understand the how and why behind your favourite sounds! No prior knowledge is needed – you don’t even need to know how to read music!
These lessons are also great for people who have worked on their ears and would like to take a step into the art of improvisation. Improvisation exists when you have no prior plan as you create. We all do it daily as we converse – now you can learn musical conversation!
University Singing Audition Prep
These sessions prepare you for auditions at a CEGEP or University level. We work on required repertoire, theory, ear training, and vocal technique so you can feel confident as you head into your auditions!
Musical Theatre, Opera & Jazz
Vocal coaching with Stephanie or Ian is designed for adults with the exception of musical theatre, which lends itself well to the ages of 8+ and includes adults. Singing classes will focus on both technical and pedagogical advice for better vocal health and production. Voice classes can also incorporate recording session coaching and diction coaching for English, French, German, and Italian. These teachers’ operatic backgrounds make them an essential resource for singing without an accent and understanding how you sing with power. Professional singers looking for coaching and beginners are welcome.
