Each body is different and she believes in empowering her students to learn how to use the different parts of their vocal mechanism to achieve their goals.

Talya teaches the singing styles of Pop, Rock/CCM and Jazz.
These lessons are great for anyone looking to learn how to sing or to improve their singing voice! We work on sustainability, identifying mental blocks, developing technique, artistry, and any other relevant facets needed to bring you closer to your goals!
Music Theory / Piano & Guitar
These lessons are focused on understanding basic principles of the piano in order to be your own backing track! We focus on basic chord progression building, voice leading, rhythm, etc.
Music theory lessons allow you to understand the “mechanics” behind sounds. We learn about different intervals, chords, voice leading, analysis, and other tools to understand the how and why behind your favourite sounds! No prior knowledge is needed – you don’t even need to know how to read music!
These lessons are also great for people who have worked on their ears and would like to take a step into the art of improvisation. Improvisation exists when you have no prior plan as you create. We all do it daily as we converse – now you can learn musical conversation!
Ear Training & Harmonizing
These lessons are very helpful for anyone looking to improve their musical ear. We work on identifying intervals, chord qualities, chord progressions, improving pitch, retaining and identifying a series of pitches, and acquiring a richer musical vocabulary. No prior knowledge is needed – come as you are!
These lessons are great for anyone who loves singing with other people! Although the melody is extremely important, harmony “seasons” music in an extraordinary way. Whether you’re hoping to be someone’s background singer or you want to spice up your fireside jams, harmonizing is a fun and useful skill to have!
